RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Ferwerda for their wedding at the stunning Combermere Abbey.
What a lovely day. I think it was possibly the hottest day of the year that day - an idyllic day for a wedding!
The Ceremony took place within the beautiful Glass house. Kerry and Tim had asked us to learn 'Going to the Chapel' by the Dixie-Cups but instead of singing Chapel to replace with 'Glasshouse'. It was great and made the ceremony so personal for the couple.
We continued as the guests arrived to perform songs which we learnt specially for them. These included - "Have You Met Miss Jones' Jones being Kerry's maiden name and ' A Moment Like This'.
As Kerry entered we accompanied her with 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy. We then played 'Use Someone' for the signing of the register and ended with 'It's all About You' by the McFly as they exited as man and wife.
A quick cool down and then it was over to the main reception area for the Drinks Reception. As guests played croquet and sipped champagne, we entertained with a selection of our chilled and upbeat tunes.
The sun was still shining, a big thank you to the staff at the venue who brought out fans and sunglasses for us
as the heat was so hot!
After the wedding we received a beautiful card from Kerry and Tim, which read....
To Rebecca & Tom
Just a note to say a great big Thank You for your wonderful performance on our wedding day. Not in the least performing in that immense heat - you were superstars!
The live music you performed so beautifully really did give both the Ceremony and Drink Reception that something special.
All of our guests commented on how brilliant you were & we couldn't agree more.
Further thanks for learning all our 'random' song choices without any fuss!
Best wishes
kerry & Tim
xx
Tom and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing us to share your special day. We had such a great day with you and all your friends & family and want to wish you all the happiness in your future together!
