Tom and Kate Gutteridge, Canada Lodge, Cardiff

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Gutteridge on their special day at the Canada lodge in Cardiff.

What a Beautiful Venue. The lodge was nestled in the countryside and surrounded by a beautiful lake - a truly stunning setting!

Staring with the ceremony, we performed Corinne Bailey Rae's 'Like a Star' which we learnt especially for the couple along with Extreme 'More Than Words' for the signing of the registers.

We then performed 'Is This Love' by Bob Marley as the couple exited as man and wife another song we had learned especially for the couple. We liked the songs so much we decided to keep them in our future set lists!

After the ceremony, we performed a selection of songs chosen by the couple to accompany the Drinks Reception.

We started the evening celebrations by performing the newlyweds first dance 'Loving You' by Paole Nutini and then continued with an upbeat set which got the guests up dancing. The couple had chosen the songs and they went down a treat - my most memorable moment was performing '500 Miles' by the The Proclaimers which all the guests joined in with - classic!

After the wedding we received this lovely email from Tom

Hi Rebecca,

My wife and I would like to say a big thank you to you both for performing at our wedding. The live acoustic music was just perfect for our special day and thanks for learning a few of our special songs. We would definitely recommend you to anyone wanting live music at a party or wedding. Our family and friends have commented on how much they enjoyed the music. Thank you both for playing so beautifully at our wedding, it really did add a touch of class to our day

Tom and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tom and Kate for choosing us to share their special day! We had a great time with your friends and family and want to wish you a great future together!

Charlotte & Neil Wragg, Iscoyd Park, Whitchurch

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the newlyweds Mr and Mrs Wragg at the rather gorgeous Iscoyd Park in Whitchurch.

To add to the magic of the day, the weather was glorious which meant we were able to perform outside for the drinks reception. As the guests sipped champagne, we entertained them with a selection of songs from our set list.

The Bride and Groom arrived at the venue in true style - on two full sized steam engines! It was brilliant!

After all the photo's were done, we headed into the Marquette where we the guests sat down for the wedding breakfast and performed another musical set to accompany.

A truly lovely day!

After the wedding, we received this lovely email from the couple:

Rebecca & Tom,
Thank you so much for the time and effort you made on our wedding day! We really, really appreciated it! The set list was just fantastic and so many guests commented on how fabulous you both were! The music was the perfect accompaniment to our wedding breakfast, and we have no hesitation in recommending you to other clients, be it wedding orientated or not. In fact, we both hope we have the opportunity to use you again in the future!

Thank you so much once again, our day was absolutely perfect and you both enhanced our wedding experience!!

Neil and Charlotte xx

Sarah and Matthew Butchard, Rose and Crown, North yorkshire

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Mr.and Mrs. Butchard for their evening entertainments at the Rose and Crown Restaurant in Sutton on the Forest in North Yorkshire

Nestled away in the lovely North Yorkshire Countryside, The Rose and Crown was a beautiful little restaurant where the couple celebrated their wedding with an intimate gathering of family and friends.

The couple hand picked the set list which included some of our laid back romantic numbers and the more livelier numbers for later in the night.

We learnt especially for the couple an acoustic version of 'Feeling Good' by Nina Simone, which we had pre-recorded and sent to the couple so they could practice it to their first dance!

It was a magical moment - the couple danced outside lit by candles for the rest of their friends and family.

After the wedding, we received these lovely comments from the couple:

Hi Rebecca

A big thank you for being part of our wedding day.  You and Tom played a huge role in making it a perfect day (despite the weather!)  Your singing and Tom's playing was amazing - everyone commented and wanted to know how I found you!  My only regret - I couldn't just sit there with the flower girls, listening to everyone of your songs.

Many many thanks

Sarah and Matt

Tom and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you both so much for choosing us to be part of your special day! We were made to feel extremely welcome. We wish you both happiness in your future lives together!

Robert and Jennie Alcock, Holland Hall, Lancashire

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing at the lovely Mr. and Mrs Alcock's wedding at the Holland Hall in Lancashire.

Starting at the ceremony, we performed some nice chilled songs for the guests arrival. Once the bride arrived we then accompanied her up the aisle with an acoustic version of 'Just the Way you are' by Bruno Mars, followed by two songs we learnt especially for the couple - 'No One' by Alicia Keys and 'By your Side' by Sade.

It was a lovely ceremony and as they left as man and wife we played 'It Must Be Love' by Madness.

Onto the drinks reception, the weather held out and we were able to play outside for the guests. We entertained them with a selection of our upbeat and chilled acoustic tunes and had a really enjoyable afternoon.

After the wedding, we received these lovely comments from the groom..

Hi Tom,

You played with Rebecca at our wedding at Holland Hall I just wanted to thank you so much for contributing to our wonderful day. The music you played was excellent (many people have commented) and added a lovely touch to the day.

Again many thanks,

Kerry & Tim Ferwerda, Combermere Abbey, Whitchurch, Shropshire

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Mr. and Mrs. Ferwerda for their wedding at the stunning Combermere Abbey.

What a lovely day. I think it was possibly the hottest day of the year that day - an idyllic day for a wedding!

The Ceremony took place within the beautiful Glass house. Kerry and Tim had asked us to learn 'Going to the Chapel' by the Dixie-Cups but instead of singing Chapel to replace with 'Glasshouse'. It was great and made the ceremony so personal for the couple.

We continued as the guests arrived to perform songs which we learnt specially for them. These included - "Have You Met Miss Jones' Jones being Kerry's maiden name and ' A Moment Like This'.

As Kerry entered we accompanied her with 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy. We then played 'Use Someone' for the signing of the register and ended with 'It's all About You' by the McFly as they exited as man and wife.

A quick cool down and then it was over to the main reception area for the Drinks Reception. As guests played croquet and sipped champagne, we entertained with a selection of our chilled and upbeat tunes.

The sun was still shining, a big thank you to the staff at the venue who brought out fans and sunglasses for us
as the heat was so hot!

After the wedding we received a beautiful card from Kerry and Tim, which read....

To Rebecca & Tom

Just a note to say a great big Thank You for your wonderful performance on our wedding day. Not in the least performing in that immense heat - you were superstars!
The live music you performed so beautifully really did give both the Ceremony and Drink Reception that something special.
All of our guests commented on how brilliant you were & we couldn't agree more.
Further thanks for learning all our 'random' song choices without any fuss!

Best wishes
kerry & Tim
xx

Tom and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing us to share your special day. We had such a great day with you and all your friends & family and want to wish you all the happiness in your future together!

Kirsty and Adrian Ditcher, Bryn Howel Hotel Llangollen, North Wales

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Mr and Mrs. Ditcher at the Bryn Howel Hotel in Llangollen.

For the Ceremony, Kirsty and Ade had chosen Adele 'Make you Feel My love' to accompany Kirsty down the aisle, 'From this moment' by Shania Twain, which we learn for the couple for the signing of the register and Queen 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' which they danced out of the ceremony to! It was great and I think really reflected their personality - great fun!
The second song for the signing of the register they asked us to choose and they said they just couldn't agree on anything! We decided to play 'Songbird' by Eva Cassidy which went down really well!

As the day went on, we played for the couple at their Drinks Reception and throughout the Wedding Breakfast. We were literally with them all the way and really enjoyed entertaining the guests with both lively and chilled out acoustic tunes off our set list.

For the evening reception, we performed the couples first dance which was a repeat of 'Make You Feel My Love' before handing over to the band.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with the couple and their family & friends and want to wish you both all the  happiness in your future married lives together!

Chrissie and Louise Civil Ceremony, Lakeside Nottingham

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing for Chrissie and Louise at their Civil Ceremony at the Lakeside in Nottingham

Starting with the Ceremony, we guided Chrissie down the Aisle with 'Too Lost' by the Sugar Babes which we had learnt specially for the couple along with 'Come What May' and 'Truely Madly Deeply' during the signing of the registers.

After the ceremony, the rain held off so we headed outside to perform for the guests in the stunning grounds of the venue. We performed some of our chilled out acoustic tunes next to the lake - very picturesque!

After the wedding breakfast we went inside to perform some of our lively numbers for the guests before the guests went outside to watch fireworks over the lake  -just perfect!

After the event, we received this email from the lovely couple:

Hi Rebecca and Tom
Thank you for performing on our wedding day, You certainly made a huge impression to myself and Lou and all the guests commented on how talented you both are, our wedding day was so special and your singing and music certainly contributed on making our day complete.

The celebration took place on a sunny afternoon and was a chance for the Chester cricket team members and families to get together and celebrate the years achievements.

We provided the music for the afternoon whilst the champagne and ca nopes were passed round!

It was a big event for the Club and even had celebrity presence amongst it's guests including ITV Presenter Lucy Meacock.

Mat, Maddie's husband, had found us on the web all the way from Norway where he is currently working. He was arranging the surprise party for his wife and asked us to come along and provide the music for the afternoon.

Beaumaris was a truly stunning place and the restaurant Mat had booked was no exception.

We had such a great time with Mat and Maddie and the rest of their friends and family. They were so welcoming and we so much fun entertaining them for the afternoon.

Mat had asked us to learn specially 'Nightswimming' for Maddie as this was one of her favourite songs so we did this as they brought out the 10 foot long cake! It was a priceless moment!

After the party we received this email from Mat...

Hi Rebecca & Tom,
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to you and Tom for helping make the day. I have lost count of how many people have come up to me and commented on how good you guys were and asked for your contact details... Hopefully I will get to see you guys again soon at someone elses do!!!

On the off chance that you guys decide to go gigging anywhere near Anglesey then please drop me a line as it would be good to be able to listen to whole set without having to run out and check on the bouncy castle...

Once again,

Thank you

Mat

Thanks again Mat for choosing us to come and entertain you and your guests for the afternoon, we really enjoyed it!

Hi Rebecca & Tom,

We both wanted to say a HUGE thank you for performing on our wedding day.

Everybody commented on how amazing you both were. You are both so talented and Rebecca, your voice is truly amazing.

We were also so impressed when the hotel had a temporary power cut and you continued to perform in the dark, it didn't seem to faze you both at all and the guests loved it!

You really made our day that extra special and our only regret is that we didn't hire you to perform for longer.

All the best for the future and thanks again from both of us

Nicola & Darren Gourley xxx
