Wedding bells......

This month we have had the pleasure of performing at two wedding Fayre's both in beautiful venues in Cheshire.

The first wedding fayre was held in Combermere Abbey, Nr Nantwich.

What a stunning venue! The staff were fantastic and we met some lovely couples who we took bookings off for next year!

The second fayre we attended was at Capesthorne Hall, Nr Macclesfield

Another great venue with great people. A successful day here for us too with more wedding booked in!

We really enjoy performing at the Fayre's. It's great to meet other suppliers and also a great opportunity for couples to talk to us face to face and see us perform live.

A big thank you to all the couples who booked RT Acoustics through the fayre's!

Combermere Abbey: Abbot's House and clock tower

Combermere Abbey, Whitchurch, Shropshire SY13 4AJ

Emma & Nick, Ettington Park Hotel, nr Stratford-Upon-Avon

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing at the rather lovely Ettington Park Hotel for Emma and Nick during their ceremony and drinks reception.

What a lovely couple!

Starting with the ceremony - we performed as the guests arrived and then walked Emma down the aisle with an acoustic version of Chris Brown's Forever  - which Emma had asked us to learn. It worked out really nicely!

For their exit as husband and wife, we also learnt especially for them Journey's "Don't stop believing" which I know Emma had been really excited about hearing! A great quirky song choice but fitted in so well!

After the ceremony we moved outside to perform on the terrace at the drinks reception and thankfully we were blessed with the weather! A great afternoon with plenty of sunshine.

Emma had also mentioned to us that Nick was a big Stone Roses fan - so we slipped into our set "She bangs the Drum" which hit the spot nicely!

We really enjoyed being a part of Emma and Nick's wedding  - the family and friends were all so welcoming.

A few days after the wedding we received this from Emma:

Thank you so much for being part of our day - i'm sorry i never got a chance to say bye to you both. We thought you were just wonderful and got lots of compliments on your behalf! Thank you both so much!

Emma xx

Thanks Again Emma and Nick for allowing us to be part of your special day!

REVIEW - All wrapped up!

Hi guys - just had to share with you this review we received not so long ago after attending a wedding fayre where Collette and her team of wedding planners attended. We only came across it by accident on their website!!

by allwrappedupevents

Its not everyday you get to hear pure talent whilst chatting away to lots of brides…. but I was fortunate enough a few weeks ago to be soothed by the stunning vocal and acoustic guitar talent of RT Acoustic Duo

Now, for me, they are a perfect combination, Rebecca’s voice is stunning and Tom is a marvel on the guitar.

They can provide the musis during the Ceremony, the Reception Drinks, during the Wedding Breakfast and the Evening celebrations

A stylish and intimate duo!
I can highly recommend

Collette

Thanks ever so much Collette!

Andrew & Lucy Thoms, Langley Priory, Derbyshire

RT had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Lucy & Andy during the drinks reception at the beautiful location of Langley Priory, Diseworth, Derbyshire

Lucy found our website all the way over in Australia as both her and Andrew were working over there and coming back over just for their wedding!

We set ourselves up outside the marquee which was positioned next to a beautiful lake within the grounds and played some laid back chilled out songs as the guests mingled, sipped champagne, played croquet on the lawn (which looked amazing – I really wanted a go!) Whilst awaiting the arrival of the newlyweds.

When Lucy and Andy arrived we sang ‘You’re Beautiful’ which we learnt especially for them.

It was such a warm and nice atmosphere and perfectly fitting for such a beautiful setting! It had been raining in the morning but throughout the drinks reception the sun was out and everyone was smiling!

Later in the evening we provided the DJ and Disco and got the guests up dancing until the early hours - I'm sure there would have been a few sore heads in the morning!

The best moment of the evening for me was when the guests all congregated just outside the marquee and watched fireworks set off over the lake whilst we played “I’ve got a feeling” by Black Eyed Peas”

Lucy had requested this as she wanted to be reminded of the New Year’s Eve Fire Work display in Sydney where that song was also played!

After the wedding we got this email from Lucy:

Hi Rebecca & Tom

We just wanted to let you know we thought the music you and Tom provided was fantastic. It was exactly what we were looking for and we also had a lot of great feedback on it from our guests. We were also really pleased with the DJ service you provided in the evening and thought the selection of music was spot on with what we were thinking of beforehand.

Thanks again for all the great music you provided on our wedding day

Lucy & Andy

A massive Thank You to Lucy and Andy for having us and making us feel so welcome. Hope you guys have a great married life together.

Thanks also to Christina Savage for sending us the fantastic photos!

Lucy & Giles Davies, Guildhall, Bath

RT had the pleasure of performing at the lovely Lucy and Giles wedding ceremony and evening entertainments in Bath.

Starting at the Guildhall registry offices in Bath, a beautiful old building with lovely rooms for your ceremony, we accompanied Lucy down the aisle with ‘Wonderful world’.

I particularly enjoy performing during wedding ceremonies. It’s such an honour to be part of someone’s special day. Lucy and Giles ceremony was really lovely. During the signing of the registers we performed ‘It Must Be Love’ by Madness and ‘Better together’ both chosen by the couple from our set list.

To walk them out as husband and wife, we performed an acoustic version of N Trance’s - ‘Set you Free’ which we learnt especially for them. It worked really nice acoustically and we have kept it in our set list ever since!

For the evening celebration we moved over to GG's steakhouse and grill, which was in a lovely setting overlooking the fabulous Bath Weir.

We played 2 x 45 minute sets which included our upbeat numbers such as The Beatles “Saw her standing there” and Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie”

The guests were all up dancing and we had a really good time with them all!

After the second set finished we handed over to the DJ who carried on the party!

A big Thank You to Lucy and Giles for having us and the best of luck in your future married lives together!

Lynne & Mike Everett, De Vere Park Hotel, Warrington

RT had the pleasure of performing for the lovely Lynne and Mike Everett during their drinks reception and wedding breakfast at the Daresbury Park Hotel.

What a lovely couple with great family and friends, they really made us feel welcome!

When the newlyweds arrived on scene, we played ‘Greatest Day’ especially for Lynne as she had told us that ‘Take That’ were her favourite band of all time!

As the drinks reception continued, we carried on with our chilled out acoustic tunes while guests mingled and relaxed into the day and watched on as the photographs were taken. It was a lovely warm atmosphere.

After the drinks reception we quickly moved our gear up stairs ready in time for the wedding breakfast where we continued with another mix of chilled, contemporary songs.

We had such a lovely day – the friends and family couldn’t have been more welcoming and we really enjoyed ourselves!

We wish you all the best in your future married lives

Anna & Paul Stevenson, St. Josephs Church, Ripley, Derbyshire

RT Acoustic Duo had the pleasure of performing at the lovely Anna Marie and Paul Stevenson’s Wedding service at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Ripley Derbyshire.

The church looked beautiful inside – it was lovely and cosy with such a nice intimate atmosphere!

As Anna walked down the aisle we performed our acoustic version of ‘Ave Maria’ which she had requested, followed by ‘Amazing Grace’ for the signing of the register and our own version of ‘Joyful Joyful’ as the happy couple left the church!

What we really thought was special about the service was the Acoustic hymns! Anna had told us in the lead up to the wedding about the hymn choices and Tom had learnt them especially on the guitar. It was such a lovely moment when the guests started to join in – a real example of how acoustic music can really add that special touch to your wedding.

The day after we received this from the bride....

Rebecca & Tom

Before we go on our honeymoon, we would just like to say a huge thank you to you both for singing and playing so beautifully in the church, it was absolutely perfect, exactly what we imagined.

Thank you so much for making our special day, extra special.

Many thanks.

Anna & Paul

We would like to thank Anna & Paul for letting us be part of their big day and also for making us feel so welcome while we were there.

Emma & Richard Worral, Augill Castle, South Stainmore, Cumbria

RT Acoustics had the pleasure of performing at Emma and Richard Worrall evening celebrations at Augill Castle, which is situated between the Lake District & Yorkshire Dales. .

We performed 2 x 45 minute sets and continued the evening celebrations with our DJ service which had all the guests up dancing through to the early hours!

We had learnt specially for their first dance - "Crack The Shutters" by Snow Patrol which was the couple’s favourite and worked out lovely and intimate for the happy couple.

We really enjoyed performing for Emma and Richard, they, along with their family and friends were very welcoming, they certainly knew how to party!

After we finished for the evening, the owners of the castle, Wendy & Simon Bennett advised us they were putting us on their top rated recommendations list for future couples looking for music!

Thanks again Emma & Richard for booking us to be part of your special day!
